The Killers - Mr. Brightside (Christian Wheel Remix)

"Mr. Brightside" is one of those songs that endures across decades. Whether you first heard it in 2004 or at a random bar last weekend, it keeps finding new life through parties, sports walk-ons, and the simple fact that everyone can't help sing along at full volume when it comes on. As of publishing it is still in Spotify's Top 50 Pop chart, so I felt it could use a refresh.

Make no mistake, this version is a rather extreme departure from the original, and purists of the song could even take offense to such a drastic change to the instrumentation. But it's been lowered down to 130 bpm and has a more funk, synth vibe. It could be useful in the right crowd, just make sure you are reading the room well enough to know whether or not the original version would be more appropriate.
