Dance music and EDM is evolving, as always. The tone of the genre has a much different feel than it did even two years ago. These days it feels much more melancholy, and Tropical House has become the predominantly featured subgenre of dance music on the charts. Largely gone from the hits these days are the pumping compression of Electro House that dominated the dance music scene even as recently as 2015. The music is still great though, and I always have fun putting mixes like this together.
