The Windows 10 lock screen is a remnant of the *shudder* Windows 8 lock screen. It shows up after your screen turns back on from inactivity, or when you first boot up your Windows 10 system. I find that it works fine on tablets and touchscreens, where you can just slide it up with your finger. But on a keyboard-and-mouse system, it's annoying. Sometimes you can double click it and it'll slide up on its own, but that seems to only work occasionally for me. More often than not, it starts sliding up, then falls back down. Not sure what the hangup is.
In any case, I have no need for the lock screen, so I just want to get rid of it. This utility will enable or disable the lock screen on your Windows 10 system. This application ONLY works on Windows 10, it will not work on any other version of Windows.
