Prince Tribute Mix

Prince's career spanned 38 years and included 39 albums (that's more than one per year!). Over the course of those albums, he sold over 100 million copies, won seven Grammys (nominated for 32), a Golden Globe, an Oscar, an induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and had five #1 singles.

He was a prolific writer, penning hits for such artists as The Bangles, Sinead O'Connor, Tevin Campbell, Morris Day and the Time, Chaka Khan, Stevie Nicks and many more. Prince could play at least 27 instruments, and was known to play all the instruments on many of his songs, including on his entire first album. He allegedly challenged himself to write a new song every single day, and it's estimated that in his vault there are at least 50 unreleased music videos that the public has never seen, along with dozens, if not hundreds, of songs.

His music certainly had a quality to it that was uniquely Prince. While he had a vast variety in his sound, you absolutely know a Prince song when you hear it. His incredible artistry is evident in this mix, which is made of a selection of Prince hits along with songs that he produced, wrote or inspired.
